John Meredith - Principal / Producer / Director

John is a content creator and place-maker with more than 30 yearsʼ experience in the Australian and international film and television industries, alongside more than five years working in creatives-led, strategically managed placemaking.

His career includes senior roles as Executive Producer and Head of Production at GMD/FILM, Executive Liaison at Fox Studios Australia, and Film Commissioner/LA Representative for Ausfilm, the peak marketing body for the Australian film industry.

During his time at Fox Studios Australia, John played a key role in the establishment and operation of The Matrix production. At GMD/FILM he worked with producers and digital artists to deliver high-end design and VFX for major Australian and international productions, including Peter Jacksonʼs The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

In 2014 John founded Full Moon Hot Sun, a creative studio and production company producing documentary, cultural and place-based content. Alongside developing his own projects, he has delivered work for corporate and institutional clients including Citibank, Samsung, Scentre Group, Hurley, Mushroom and Universal Music Group.

John is also Co-founder and current Chair of Brookvale Arts District (BAD), where he has been a driving force behind the vision, strategy and partnerships that transformed a fragmented industrial area into a nationally recognised arts, culture and night-time precinct. His role has spanned strategic narrative, brand development, partnership brokerage and content creation.

Douglas Clark - Collaborator / Economic Development & Place Strategies

Douglas has 40 yearsʼ experience as an economic development consultant, including his work across investment attraction, place marketing and the creative industries. He started his economic development career at Roger Tym & Partners, the first UK consultancy to combine planning with economics for property and place development, positioning him at the forefront of urban and regional policy and providing him with broad experience in all aspects of placemaking.

His company Location Connections provides investment attraction strategy and communications support for government agencies. Clients have included NSW Investment, City of Sydney, Enterprise Estonia, IDA Ireland, Scottish Development International, Gateway To London, Berlin Partner, Polish Investment & Trade Agency, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

As a specialist in the development of investment attraction strategies, Douglas has played a critical role in helping locations across the world tell their most impactful stories. During the late 1990s he was involved in highlighting the importance of the creative industries as a source of economic and place development and has undertaken various strategy development initiatives and feasibility studies for the creative industries.

Douglas has been active in the Brookvale Arts District since 2023, supporting the delivery of community collaboration driven by effective strategies, communications, partnerships and activations.

Miguel Gonzalez - Collaborator / Design & Technology

Miguel Gonzalez is a multidisciplinary creative, art director and place-maker working at the intersection of culture, community and urban identity. He is Co-founder and Director at Kayapa Creative Studio where he creates meaningful visual and conceptual identities for projects and places as well as documentation and content for creative and community initiatives. Heʼs created designs and content for a range of clients including Gucci, Netflix, Westfield and City of Sydney.

Miguel is also Co-founder and Executive Director at Brookvale Arts District working to build a lightweight, district-based cultural coordination platform with a focus on designing practical operating systems to power shared narrative, clear project pipelines and digital tools that improve visibility, collaboration and continuity without adding heavy governance.

Miguel has a professional background in architecture and urban design as well as a career in visual arts, digital design and interactive media. He brings a hybrid approach to placemaking: combining narrative design, creative production and applied technology, including automation and AI-assisted coordination tools, to strengthen how districts organise, communicate and sustain momentum over time.
